To see young people come into contact with the person of Jesus Christ, and strive to follow Him in all ways—THIS is what energizes Charlie Alcock. And he’s dedicated his life to seeing this become a reality, one life at a time. Charlie has amassed nearly two decades of professional experience working in both church and university settings.

His experience and commitment to the field come through in his energetic presentation, and encouraging demeanor. Youth and adults alike are drawn to his easy-going nature and challenged by his command of the subject of youth ministry in today’s culture. His passion is contagious, and his content is compelling.

Charlie is a sought-after speaker and consultant for all things “Youth Ministry.” Currently, Charlie is on faculty with Indiana Wesleyan University, as Assistant Professor of Youth Ministries. He’s served 16+ years at the local church level, working with a diverse array of churches, the last 6 of which were spent at Skyline Church in San Diego, California. At Skyline, Charlie developed a unique ministry called Ground Zero, an off campus youth center designed to meet students right where they live.

His new book, More Than A High (©2007 Wesleyan Publishing House) tackles the subject of seeing youth continue living out spiritual decisions they make and growing as true disciples of Christ. Charlie and his wife, Joy, have three children, Nathaniel, Nick, and Emily.
